On the experimental validation of Ludwick law to predict critical buckling load of nonlinear elastic columns

The main contribution of this work is validating the Ludwick law to model nonlinear mechanical behavior in prediction critical buckling load elastic columns. loads specimens with different slenderness ratios were obtained by conducting experimental tests on flax/PLA columns pinned–pinned boundary conditions. modified parameters calibrated fit stress–strain curve tensile specimens. manufactured using compression molding method. Moreover, a numerical considering Marlow hyperelastic constitutive was used predict load. Theoretical predictions and results excellent agreement data. Results showed that maximum error for 14.3%, theoretical 8.0%. Additionally, parametric study developed analyze influence material's nonlinearity accuracy model.
